Diablo 4: Season of Loot Reborn - Call of the Wolves Quest Guide

Diablo 4's "Season of Loot Reborn" has brought significant changes to the game's itemization, Helltide events, and endgame activities. While most of these updates are immediately noticeable, some require a bit more time to get used to. The seasonal questline, beginning with the "Call of the Wolves" quest, is an excellent way to familiarize yourself with the new Helltide changes and the season's reward system: the Iron Wolves. This guide will walk you through completing every seasonal quest in Season of Loot Reborn, from "Call of the Wolves" to "The Voice in the Night."

Call of the Wolves

Unlike previous seasons, you won't receive this quest right after creating a seasonal character. "Call of the Wolves" begins once you obtain a Medallion Shard. This item has a moderate drop rate from Helltide monsters, an activity now available across all World Tiers. For more details on the Helltide changes, refer to our Helltide guide for Season 4.

Once you've acquired a Medallion Shard, you'll be directed to the Iron Wolves Encampment in Kehjistan. This fast travel point, named "Iron Wolves Encampment," is located west of the Imperial Library and northeast of Gea Kul. Speak with Soudeh, the field commander of the Iron Wolves, to unlock the next seasonal quest.

The Wooden Wolf

Soudeh will task you with locating a missing caravan near Ked Bardu. Head northeast of Ked Bardu to find the caravan next to a small boulder, guarded by demons. After clearing out the demons, inspect the medallion on top of the abandoned cart, which will lead you southeast to a dungeon entrance.

Inside, you'll discover a small hiding area for the missing caravan. Inspect everything in the dungeon cellar, then report back to Soudeh. She'll reward you with a cache. To continue the quest chain, you'll need to increase your reputation with the Iron Wolves by participating in Helltide events.

A Gift of Robes

Another Iron Wolf has fallen prey to demonic forces. Soudeh will ask you to investigate a missing warrior in the Fractured Peaks. Fast travel to the town of Yelesna in the southeast corner of Fractured Peaks. Travel to the southern tip of the map quest area—the same location as the nearby Altar of Lilith—to find the hidden cellar entrance.

Inside, you'll find Telan, who has been corrupted and transformed into a Hellborne, one of Hell's Champions appearing in Helltide. Defeat Telan and report back to Soudeh. This will unlock the final quest in the Season of Loot Reborn's quest chain.

The Voice in the Night

The final seasonal quest is initiated by speaking with Soudeh, just like the previous quests. Once your Iron Wolf reputation is high enough, she'll direct you to the source of her clan's troubles. A demon has been manipulating the Iron Wolves, and it's time to put an end to it. Travel to Soudeh's location in Kehjistan and prepare for a boss fight.

Inside, you'll face an imp that uses attack patterns similar to the Accursed Ritual boss in Helltide. Expect strafe attacks, summoning lesser demons, and creating a line of Elite monsters upon retreat. While not particularly challenging for well-prepared builds, remembering the imp's attack patterns will help in future Helltide encounters. After defeating the demon, talk to Soudeh and return to camp to conclude the seasonal questline.

Conclusion

Completing the "Call of the Wolves" questline in Diablo 4's Season of Loot Reborn not only familiarizes you with the season's new mechanics and reward systems but also provides valuable items and reputation with the Iron Wolves. Engaging with these quests and events will enhance your gameplay experience and prepare you for the challenges that lie ahead in this season of Diablo 4.
